Andre Lo
Pharmacy Owner
Before Andre founded Crystal Pharmacy in 2007, he was a clinical pharmacist at St. Paul's Hospital and an associate owner of Shoppers Drug Mart Cloverdale. Having served the community for 30+ years, he is described by his patients as a trustworthy, compassionate pharmacist. He is also regarded as the best boss by his team.
Fred Hsiao
Front Store Manager
Having joined the team in 2019, Fred is an experienced pharmacist from Taiwan, very knowledgeable in health supplements and natural remedies. His greatest talent is his superb communication skills, always patient for customers who need a little more explanations.
Fred may be three months older than the boss, but somehow our customers all thought he just graduated from college! Up until now, we still don’t know how he keeps himself looking so young.
Gina Chang
Pharmacist
Gina graduated from the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and joined Crystal Pharmacy in 2013.
She is quick, sharp, and knowledgeable, but Gina’s biggest achievement has to be her capability to clean up the mess left by her boss and the talent of deciphering her boss’ messy handwriting.
Hannes Chu
Pharmacist
Hannes joined us in 2021.
An experienced and respectable veteran pharmacist, Hannes always has the insight to look at things a few steps ahead. As a matter of fact, Hannes is so experienced that we call him "Sifu" (master) at our pharmacy. It’s been an honour for us to have Hannes on board!
Peter Lin
Pharmacist
Peter is a graduate from UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences who joined us in October 2020.
Kind, conscientious, and courteous, Peter also has great patience when serving customers who need the extra attention. Peter’s full time job is actually a software engineer. We are so glad to have Peter help us out on Saturdays and to cover other staff during vacation time.
Janice Wu
Pharmacy Assistant
Janice is a pharmacy assistant who joined us in August 2020.
Not just efficient and courteous, Janice is always motivated to learn new skills and take on new tasks. Janice is also a BIG K-POP fan, so if you have any K-POP news, please come in and share it with Janice.

Darian Ngai
Pharmacist

Darian is our home-grown pharmacist. He joined us in 2017 as a pharmacy assistant and graduated from UBC in 2021 as a PharmD. Efficient, quick with numbers, Darian is also our unofficial IT expert, but his biggest achievement has to be his linguistic advancement throughout the years working here. Starting with zero Mandarin knowledge, he can now manage to counsel in complicated medical terms in Mandarin. Whoa...what an accomplishment!
Kate Ho
Pharmacy Assistant

​Kate joined us in September 2022 as a pharmacy assistant. She has a strong memory, great attention to details, and an incredible accuracy in her work. Yet, Kate’s biggest talent is she can still be very efficient when the store is overwhelmingly busy, while staying chill and calm.
